Day 01 Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi. You will be met by our representative at the airport and then
transferred to hotel for overnight stay. Delhi is a city that defies a one-line
description as the capital of India or as the capital of the world’s largest
democracy. Actually, Delhi is India in miniature. Delhi is 32,87,263 sq. km
of India’s fantastic variety compressed into 1483 sq. km over the millennia;
it has wooed rulers, attracted plunderers, and tried historians with so many
details. Today, even as it preserves an enviable heritage, Delhi is a true
cosmopolitan city always on the move
Day 02:In Delhi
This morning, proceed for city tour of Old & New Delhi visiting includes the
Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Delhi Gate, and Raj Ghat and Shanti
Vana, the last two being modern structures constructed after India’s Independence
in 1947. New Delhi, on the other hand, is a modern city designed by Edwin
Lutyens and Herbert Baker. It is a spacious, open city that houses many government
buildings and embassies, besides places of historical interest. Notable attractions
in New Delhi include the Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate, Laxminarayan Temple,
Humayun’s Tomb, Purana Quila, Qutab Minar, and Bahai Temple.
Day 03:Delhi – Kalka by Train Himalayan Queen Dep:
0600 hrs Arr: 1120 hours
Kalka - Shimla by Himalayan Queen Dep: 1210 hrs Arr: 1720 hours Morning in
time transfer to the railway station to board the train for Kalka. Upon arrival
board the toy train for Shimla – the Summer Retreat of the British. Meet and
assist upon arrival at the Shimla Railway station and transfer to the hotel.
Shimla was the former summer capital of the British in India, and the present
capital of Himachal Pradesh. Rest of the day is at leisure and free to explore
this quaint town. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04:In Shimla
Morning sightseeing tour of Shimla including The Mall - Shimla’s principal
promenade and best for a leisurely walk. Jakhoo Hill is the highest point
in Shimla and offers a panoramic view of the city. Glen forest is one of the
most fascinating picnic spots in Shimla. Summer Hill has pleasant shady walks
in quite surroundings. Chadwick Falls are situated amidst thick forest and
gives a breathtaking view. Prospect Hill is a popular picnic spot that gives
some beautiful views of the region
Day 05:In Shimla
Morning drive to Kufri – a popular tourist resort 16 kilometers to the east
of Shimla at an altitude of 2,510 meters above sea level. The surrounding
countryside here offers you a good opportunity for hiking especially to the
nearby Mahasu peak. Also visit the small village of Mashobra, 13 km from Shimla
on Shimla-Naldhera road. The village is surrounded by thick forests and offers
some pleasant walks including one to Sipi where a fair is held every year.
A temple dedicated to Goddess Durga is worth visiting. A little further lies
Naldhera - famous for having the oldest and the highest golf course in India.
The town, perched at an altitude of 2,050 meters, is around 23 km from Shimla.
An ancient Nag temple is also situated here. It is said that Lord Curzon was
so enchanted by this place that he named his daughter after it. Return to
the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06:To Manali
Morning drive to Manali. Arrive Manali and check – in at hotel. Set amidst
forests of towering cedars, circled by snowy peaks and the unending roar of
the Beas as a constant companion, Manali offers unparalleled opportunities
for trekking, nature walks, angling and other winter sports

Day 07: In Manali
Morning proceed with a sightseeing tour of Manali. Manali has many attractions
but the chief center of interest, historically and archeologically, is undoubtedly
the DHOONGRI TEMPLE dedicated to goddess Hadimba, the wife of Bhim of Mahabharat
fame. It is a pleasant experience to stroll in the temple complex, which was
built in 1533 A.D. Mountaineering Institute, located 3 kms on the left bank
of river Beas towards Kulu. This Institute organizes basic & advance training
courses, in trekking, mountaineering, skiing and water sports. Skiing and
trekking equipments can be hired from here by booking in advance. Vashist
Hot Water Springs and Temple (3 kms) Vashist, a small village located on the
left bank of river Beas towards Rohtang pass is worth a visit. It is renowned
for its hot springs and temples. Nearby is the pyramidal stone temple dedicated
to Vashist Muni. There is another Temple of Lord Ram here. Arjun Gufa (Cave)
4kms. from Manali towards Naggar, the cave is situated near Prini village
1km. above the road where Arjun had meditated. This is good 1/2 a day excursion
with charming view of the brilliant mountains. Jagatsukh 6 kms from Manali,
located on the left bank on Beas on the road to Naggar. The place is famous
for very old temples of Lord Shiva and Sandhya Gayatri in Shikhara style -
worth a visit. Overnight at the hotel
Day 08:In Manali
Morning visit the picturesque landscapes of Kothi and Solang Valley, besides
the 9,000-foot-high Rehalla Falls. Solang Valley is a splendid valley between
Solang village and Beas Kund. Solang valley offers the view of glaciers and
snow capped mountains and peaks. It has fine ski slopes. The winter skiing
festival is organized here. Training in skiing is imparted at this place.
Also visit the Rohtang pass on highway to Leh. It offers a panorama and spectacular
Mountain View. The pass is open from June to October each year although trekkers
can cross it earlier. It is a gateway to Lahaul Spiti, Pangi and Leh valley
just as Zojila pass is a gateway to Ladakh. Overnight at the hotel
Day 09:To Chandigarh
Morning drive to Chandigarh – the capital of two states, Punjab & Haryana,
Chandigarh is independent India’s most modern and well-planned city, designed
by Le Corbusier. Arrive Chandigarh and check – in at hotel. Rest of the day
is at leisure and free for independent activities. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10:To Delhi by Shatabdi Edxpress Dep: 1820 hours
Arr: 2140 hours
Morning sightseeing tour of Chandigarh including Rock Garden, constructed
almost entirely out of city garbage; Rose Garden 30 landscaped acres containing
a variety of 1600 roses; Museum & Art Gallery housing a good collection of
sculptures and paintings
Later in time transfer to Railway Station to board train for Delhi. Meet and
assist upon arrival and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 11:Leave Delhi
In time transfer to the airport to board flight for onward destination. End
